The quest is issued automatically after completing the task of finding documents for the Gauss Cannon. We rush from Zaton to Pripyat, we go to the Yubileiny KBO building.
How do I get into the X8 Lab?
There's only one way to get to the lab - the elevator, but it's dead. Near the elevator lies the body of Barchuk, in his PDA there is a record that the generator is on the top floor of the building, but zombies and monolith fanatics block the way there. We go up the stairs, destroying all enemies along the way - you need good weapons and lots of ammo. Some spans are littered with collapsed slabs, requiring you to walk around the building in search of an exit to the roof. But we don't have to go to the roof itself, although you can find good artifacts there among the electrical anomalies. We need to go to the generator room, just above the elevator. We approach the generator and press the "Use" button - the generator is activated! Now you can take the elevator down to the first floor. We go into the elevator and press the button on the control panel - we are in the laboratory.
How do I find documents in the X8 Lab?
We activate our entrance ticket in the laboratory. If we successfully complete the One Shot quest, we will have a red key card from the arsenal in our inventory. We immediately turn right and open the door with this card - we take weapons and first-aid kits.
1. Documentthat's what we're looking for: from the entrance to the laboratory we go to the left, we go to the data center. There flies the anomaly "Tesla", it cannot be killed. We carefully skip the anomaly past us and while running we take the first copy of the documents from the table and run back, closing the door behind us. You can go back upstairs using the elevator, the quest is already complete, or you can search for the rest of the documents.

We go down to the laboratory, where the floor is flooded with a layer of water, we see a model of the Raduga emitter there, a second document will lie on the shelves next to it. We take it.
3. Documentwe find it like this: we rush into the dining room, snorkelers run there - here the shotgun decides. We jump into the hole in the ground, we see the document on the table, we pick it up. We go back up the stairs.
